Street Team

Job Specifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to speak fluent English
  • Must be energetic and outgoing
  • Must be available for all Luna Park Events and Promotions
  • Ability to learn and perform simple dance routines.
  • Must be available weekdays and weekends from April to October

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • On and off site Promotions
  • Event Participation
  • Educate guests about upcoming events and promotions
  • Interacting with guests by conducting contests and giveaways
  • Attend all summer holiday events.
  • Ability to learn general company information to answer basic questions.
  • Perform and promote in professional maner at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers.
  • Other duties as assigned

Partnerships & Promotions Intern

Marketing Internship

Theme parks are fun, so working at Luna Park in Coney Island is a blast! Marketing interns will gain the hands-on experience of a lifetime as they shake, rattle and roll through the nitty gritties of the entertainment marketing industry. Our Marketing Interns each specialize in an area of our Marketing Department: Online & Design, Public Relations & Alliance, Finance & Legal, Food & Sales, Partnerships & Promotions and Events. Interns at Luna Park can expect to learn A TON about Marketing with hands-on experience (ie. We probably don’t need you to get coffee.) and excellent mentors. Check out the info below to see if working in a great place is right for you!

General Requirements:
- Must be comfortable standing on one’s feet for long periods of time (and dashing across the park in 1 minute flat – we’re still working on that one)
- Assisting in general departmental tasks as needed – we all pitch in here!
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office
- Able to multitask and prioritize in a collaborative, rapidly-changing environment. Self-starters wanted!
- Must be willing to ride roller coasters and thrill rides
- Current undergraduate or recent graduate
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving (but you don’t need a car)

Partnerships & Promotions Internship
Job Description:

  • Campaign project management and creative project trafficking
  • General research on media outlets, potential partners, etc.
  • Liaising with partners and other stakeholders and fulfilling requests for graphics, copy, etc.
  • Aiding in the creation of wild and wacky stunts and other promotions
  • Requires superb project management skills 
Group Host

Job Specifications:

  • Greeting buses and providing information to group leaders
  • Providing assistance and expediting check-in process
  • Confirming number of guests
  • Assisting food service provider when necessary to ensure quality of events
  • Knowledge of packages and meal plans
  • Overall knowledge of entire park and its attractions
  • Great customer service
  • Scheduled on an "as needed" basis

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

Design Intern

Design Internship
Job Description:

  • Create-ify eye-catching graphics for internal and external communications
  • Comfortable with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Requires creativity, a sense of humor and strong interest in teh interwebs
Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Specifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to speak fluent English
  • Able to read and write English
  • Participates in activities of the maintenance team in accordance with company objectives to ensure the business is safe, well-maintained, and is a guest and team member friendly environment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repair tasks.
  • Work on implementation of preventative Maintenance Software.
  • Following hands-on and manual training procedures.
  • Complete paperwork as required, in a timely manner.
  • Constantly increase knowledge of safety and maintenance practices.
  • Attend safety meetings including annual training as required.
  • Performs other duties as required in the operation of the park on a daily basis
Requirements:
  • Experience in mechanical, production, electrical or manufacturing technical field is required.
  • Excellent knowledge regarding machines, spare parts, operations and maintenance.
  • Excellent observation skills to analyze the various aspects efficiently.
  • Sound and through knowledge regarding safety measures and laws.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
  • ABle to work under the stressful conditions and with the given deadline as well.
  • Excellent communication and motivation skills, exceptional team working skills.
Rides Operators

Job Specifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to work in all weather conditions

  • Basic math skills

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Test equipment daily before opening the ride
  • Enforce ride restrictions and recommendations to ensure safe operation
  • Inform guests about the ride and its safety procedures
  • Assist guests, as trained, with boarding and exiting the ride, particularly small children or guests with a disability.
  • Check safety restraints and ensure they are correctly secured before ride is in motion
  • Maintain cleanliness of the ride and work areas
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and coworkers
  • Other duties as assigned

Game Operators

Job Specifications:

Park Services

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Pick up litter and clean assigned areas with provided cleaning supplies
  • Empty and dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness of containers
  • Sweep restroom areas and restock necessary supplies
  • Sweep and clean paths and grounds throughout the park
  • Monitor guests visiting the park and report any problems or rule infractions
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and coworkers

Ticket Sales Cashier

  • Cheerfully greet customer at ticket booths

First Aid Assistant & EMT

Job Specifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Posses a valid EMT certification in the State of New York

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency assistance and basic first aid care to guests and employees
  • Process required paperwork and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Assist with follow up as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas

Maintenance Technician

Inspect, maintain, and repair amusement rides, buildings, and equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations and company standards as directed.

Overview:

  • Perform daily, monthly, and annual maintenance as directed
  • Place safety as the number one priority
  • Follow hands-on and manual training procedures
  • Complete paperwork as required timely
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Constantly increase knowledge of safety and maintenance practices
  • Attend safety meetings

Minimum Requirements:

* Ability to climb and/or work heights up to 200 feet and work in confined spaces.
* Vocational / Technical / High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Position requires rotating shifts; including weekends and holidays during the operating season.
* Must have a valid driver's license.

Logistics Associate

Job Specifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to speak fluent English
  • Able to read and write English
  • Basic math skills
  • Credit & Criminal Background Checks required
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Load and unload stock from vendors
  • Sort products
  • Complete necessary paperwork
  • Organize stored inventory and provide information when requested
  • Pull products from storage facilities and deliver to park locations
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and coworkers

Retail Associate

Cooks

  • Cook and prepare products according to recipe specifications
  • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
  • Rotate stock to maintain freshness standards (FIFO – First In, First Out)
  • Clean and maintain the cooking equipment and station area
  • Fulfill all of the assignments given to you
  • Follow all CAI policies and procedures
Kiosk Operators

Job Specifications:

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm attention and be polite towards our customers
  • Represent the CAI image by coming to work clean and in uniform
  • Be on time for your shift

  • Responsible for assembling the guest orders once the orders have been placed
